1. Pixel Pitch
Pixel pitch is the distance between the centers of neighboring LED lamps. The smaller the pixel pitch, the higher screen resolution. But it will be more expensive if choose smaller pixel pitch. Many factors, such as budget, viewing distance, placing location, should be taken into account when choosing the pixel pitch.
In general, it requires at least 800cd/㎡ for the brightness of indoor full-color LED display, and at least 5000cd/㎡ for the brightness of outdoor full-color LED display. Besides, a screen that is too bright will cause visual discomfort, while a screen that is too dim will hamper the visibility of the display content. The brightness of the screen should depend on the lighting of the future location.
3. Viewing Angle
The viewing angle of the led display is divided into a horizontal viewing angle and a vertical viewing angle. For LED display, it will attract more audience with larger viewing angle. The larger the angle of view, the better, so the range that can be viewed is greater.
Grayscale refers to the degree of brightness. For digital display technology, grayscale is the determining factor in the number of colors displayed. In general, it could show more display details and colors with higher grayscale. At present, the highest grayscale is 16bit.
5. Refresh Rate
Refresh rate is the number of times per second at which the hardware of LED screens draws the data. With high refresh rate, there is no distortion in dynamic horizontal and vertical stripes on the screen.
The surface flatness of LED display should be within ±1mm, to ensure smooth and seamless image. Any uneven surface will result in distorted image and blind viewing angle of the display.
7. IP Rating
LED displays can be damaged, or worse, fail to work completely when water damps the lamps or parts. The appropriate IP rating is a critical factor to consider when deciding to get indoor or outdoor displays. It will protect the LED displays against solid objects and liquids. A higher number means greater protection against solids and liquids. Especially it requires high IP rating in extreme weather condition.
8. Maintenance Access
There are two methods for maintenance. One is front maintenance, which designed for wall-mounted installation or similar. Another is rear maintenance, that is, to maintain the display at the back. It’s more convenient to maintenance the LED display on the front, but it also will cost more money.
